EU Referendum debate comes to Salisbury: Clare Moody MEP to speak at public meeting

Flyer-for-public-meetings-A4-220116.jpgWith the EU appearing constantly in the press and speculation around the upcoming referendum hitting the headlines on an almost daily basis Salisbury Labour are hosting a public meeting to discuss the EU.

The lead speaker will be Clare Moody MEP who will be discussing how being a core part of Europe has benefited Britain and why the EU has been a force for good. Remaining a part of Europe is vital if we want a stronger, better off, safer Britain that delivers opportunity for individuals and families, now and in the future.

Clare Moody was elected as the Member of the European Parliament for the South West and Gibraltar in May 2014.

Clare lives in Salisbury and spent most of her working life, before becoming an MEP, as a trade unionist representing people in a wide variety of industries. She has lived in Salisbury for a number of years and before that she lived in Wilton.  She knows the rich diversity of South Wiltshire and our region well.

Clare is passionate about making sure everyone in Salisbury, South Wiltshire and our region has the ability to have a safe, secure job that can provide for them and their family and that they can benefit from the shared prosperity that being in Europe brings.

The meeting will be chaired by Tom Corbin who stood for Labour in the last General Election.

Come to the Red Lion Hotel, Milford Street at 7:00 pm on Friday 22 January
